When we first purchased our RV we bought all the warranties that we were offered. (tire protection, roadside, paint protection, etc.)
Looking back this was a huge mistake because we financed 2 year, 5 year, and 7 year RV warranties into our 20 year loan. That means we’re paying interest on these warranties, for 20 years even if the RV warranty has expired!
When it came time to finally use our warranty, they nickeled and dime’d us on what they would and wouldn’t cover. We were horrified and quickly canceled!
So we made a video on the subject. We describe what we’ve learned about RV warranties years later. It’s fittingly entitled, “Rat Bastards” and it explains why we are not advocates of RV warranties.
Whatever you decide to do in terms of your RV warranty, please make sure that you read the fine print and do your research!
